뒤돌아보지 말고, 생명의 산을 향하여

유황불로 심판을 받은 소돔과 고모라.

천사들은 말했습니다.

“뒤를 돌아보지 말고, 힘껏 산으로 도망쳐라.”

롯과 두 딸은 어둠 속을 뚫고 달려갑니다.

하지만 롯의 아내는 세상에 대한 미련과 궁금함에 그만 뒤를 돌아보고 맙니다.

그 순간, 그녀는 소금기둥이 되어버립니다.

세상에 대한 집착은 우리의 영적 여정을 방해할 뿐 아니라,

생명을 품지 못하는 굳은 존재로 우리를 변하게 할 수 있습니다.

롯의 아내처럼 말입니다.

하느님께서 인도하시는 길을 따를 때,

과거에 대한 미련과 세속적인 욕심을 떨쳐내고

생명의 산을 향해 담대히 나아가야 합니다.

뒤돌아보지 마십시오.

앞을 향해, 생명을 향해 걸어가십시오.

Do Not Look Back — Walk Toward the Mountain of Life

Sodom and Gomorrah were consumed by the judgment of sulfur and fire.

The angels gave a clear warning:

“Do not look back. Flee to the mountains with all your strength.”

Lot and his daughters ran forward into the darkness, toward life.

But Lot’s wife, held back by attachment or curiosity, looked behind her.

And in that moment, she became a pillar of salt.

Our longing for the world behind us can hinder our spiritual path—

turning our hearts rigid and barren,

unable to grow or bear life.

When God leads the way,

we must let go of all worldly attachments,

and step forward—

toward the mountain of life, with unwavering faith.

Do not look back.
