🌿 묵상: 마음이 가난한 자의 복 (마태복음 5:3)

“행복하여라, 마음이 가난한 사람들!

하늘나라가 그들의 것이다.” (마태 5:3)

중3 시절 처음 성경을 접하며 이 말씀을 읽었을 때,

낯설고 충격적인 느낌이 지금도 생생합니다.

“마음이 가난하다”는 말이 대체 무슨 뜻일까?

이 말씀은 언제나 내 마음에 맴돌고 그러한 삶은 어떤 삶인가를 생각하게 하였습니다.

          그리고 이 때 읽었던 성경 말씀은 저의 삶의  방향을 바꾸게 하는 계기가 되었음을

 베로니카가 내민 수건에 예수님의 형상이 찍히 듯  ,

 제 영혼 깊이 그 말씀과 예수님의 표현하기 어려울 정도의 아름다움이 새겨져

 

주님을 잊지 않고 끝까지 따르게 하는 말씀의 씨앗이 되었습니다.

🌿 Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit – A Personal Reflection

I first encountered this verse when I was in 9th grade.

I still remember the feeling — unfamiliar, almost shocking.

What does it mean to be “poor in spirit”?

This verse lingered in my heart.

It made me pause and reflect on what kind of life that truly is.

Over time, I realized this verse wasn’t just a line in the Bible —

it became a turning point, quietly reshaping the direction of my life.

Just as Veronica received the image of Jesus on her cloth,

this Word was imprinted on my soul —

a seed of truth that helps me fix my eyes on the Lord

and follow Him to the end without forgetting His presence.
